Stephen Weigel A lot of cool static-sounding riffs that change with a great sense of pacing. I am always amazed by how quickly Jason can make a xenharmonic tuning sound familiar even when it should not be; he's got a real gift for that. P.S. You really should buy this, because the explanation of 21-equal that comes with it is excellent. Favorite track: G'Broagfran's Secret Nipple.

about

City of the Asleep Portland, Oregon

Instrumental music, often blending glitch and EDM with surf, progressive rock, classical, and avant-garde experimentalism. Heavy doses of surrealism/absurdism. Sound-paintings, non-ambient dreamscapes. Frequently microtonal/xenharmonic!
