about

It's been a long time since this album has existed on the internet in a readily-accessible place. These recordings are my very first forays into microtonal music, using four different refretted guitars: one (poorly done) in 31edo, one (well-done) in 22edo, one (manufactured) in Jon Catler's 12-tone Ultra Plus system, and one (hand-made from scratch) in 17edo. The recording quality is kinda potato, as these tracks were recorded in 2004-2006 or so, when I was much less experienced in music production.

about

City of the Asleep Portland, Oregon

Instrumental music, often blending glitch and EDM with surf, progressive rock, classical, and avant-garde experimentalism. Heavy doses of surrealism/absurdism. Sound-paintings, non-ambient dreamscapes. Frequently microtonal/xenharmonic!
